If anyone knows how to slim-down in a short amount of time, it's celebrity health and fitness guru Jackie Warner.
The LA based personal trainer has helped hip-hop artist Eve (pictured), singer Alanis Morissette and comedian and actress Kathy Griffin amongst other big names (she doesn't train and tell) get ready for film roles or red carpet appearances in as little as 10 days. And thankfully, Jackie says a juice detox or other hunger-pain inducing methods are the last thing she'd recommend for her star clients.
"You should never just drink juices or fast in a detox way," Jackie insists. "Anything under 900 calories [a day] and your body is going to into serious starvation mode, and it's actually going to slow down your metabolism."
That's right, no crazy diets or hunger pains. That's what we like to hear! So how does she get her celeb clients looking fit and fab in a flash?
"I believe in whole foods with high nutritional value," says Jackie. "I put them on a 900 calorie a day diet, and it is extremely nutrient dense. Even though it's only 900 calories, they are feeling amazing after a couple of days because they get so many nutrients."
