My first glimpse into the world of mags was when I was 15, doing work experience at NW. Following that I did a Media degree and interned with Cleo. Fast forward to an overseas trip, and an assisting role at a weekly mag, and five years later, I’m at Cleo once again. As Fashion Editor, I get to see all every fashion range to find the hottest fashion available. This means countless appointments with PR’s and designers, coming up with new concepts, organising fashion shoots, attending launches and parades.

Shopping. Now I’m quite an expert at it. Gold medalist if there was such a thing.
My friends call me ‘Hawk Eye’ for my ability to scour a designer bargain amongst the sea of duds in any sale.
I attribute my great skills to a lifelong passion with fashion & magazines. I still remember the time – way before the internet, where I’d call up a stocklist from a magazine shoot I liked and get them to ship over an item after I’d paid by money order. Money order! Does that word even exist anymore? Definitely not in my Visa-filled world.
These days, there isn’t anything I can’t get in my hot little hands without the ease of online shopping.
In fact, I’m so obsessed with internet shopping that I swear more websites have my credit card numbers than humans have my mobile number.
I’m so dedicated to specific sites that I don’t even have to type in my details anymore, as they’re already on file. Convenient? Sure! Scary? Maybe a little.
So here are my top picks of the best online stores of the moment. I’ve posted about this before but due to my ever-growing list, I thought I’d make an updated version.
www.shopbop.com – Their sale section is incredible. I once ordered on a Friday and had the package on my front door by the Monday.
www.forever21.com – This US chain store has a huge range of on trend pieces at cheap as chips prices. Ok ,so once my parcel accidentally got delivered to the Netherlands, but honestly it was all fixed in due time, and if I’ve helped a poor little Dutch soul match a great top with their clogs, then who am I to judge, really?
www.theoutnet.com – Net a porter, sale store. I don’t think this needs any more information.
www.asos.com – I love perusing this website because of the huge range of brands, as well as their own affordable in house label.
www.etsy.com – Terrific site for quirky homewares, and I love being able to support up-and-coming designers.
Add to basket and enjoy!
