Question:
How do I go about applying liquid eyeliner properly? It always ends up looking wobbly and uneven. from Amber
Answer:
Applying neat, seamless looking liner can be tricky. Sometimes I get it spot-on and other times I have to remove it all and start again. Luckily, the best advice is always at my finger tips. Simone Bush, Senior Makeup Artist (Napoleon Perdis National Core Creative Team) gave me the following tips for perfectly lined eyes.
#1 When applying liquid eyeliner its best to start by using a fine, short haired brush or a fine angled brush. Ensure the liquid eyeliner consistency is not too watery as this tends to run more easily. A nice opaque consistency is always best for liquid eyeliner.
#2 Don’t attempt apply your liquid eyeliner in one continuous line, instead apply the eyeliner by feathering short strokes along the upper lashline.
#3 You can also try raising the eyebrow of the closed eye you are working on or lifting the eye area with your free hand so the skin is taut. This makes for a smoother area to work on along the upper lashline.
