Party girl Lily Allen has been chosen as the new face of London's National Portrait Gallery.
It appears that Lily Allen likes to keep the gossip columnists busy these days.
First there was her upcoming cameo on Neighbours this month, then her candid comment about Britain's Got Talent's Susan Boyle ("I don't think she has an amazing voice." Ouch.) and now news has surfaced that she's become the face of a new UK art campaign.
Better known for her outspoken nature and drunken antics, the 24-year-old party girl has been chosen by the National Portrait Gallery to feature in the new 'Take Another Look' portrait collection.
Think Allen is a strange poster child for an art campaign? Well, organisers are aiming for the 'surprise' factor.
The campaign is all about bringing out "hidden stories" about the portrait models. Allen, who trained as a florist before rising to fame in 2006, is featured in a photo portrait by Nadav Kander – with the caption "vocalist, lyricist, florist'.
Other famous faces in the collection include Blur's bassist Alex James ("musician, writer, cheese maker") and Winston Churchill ("politician, peacemaker, prisoner").
